Posters

Poster design is a pretty great medium to express ideas, experiences, and all that is interesting to a person. I my little experiment above, I used the exaggeration of fast food (specially burgers) to create my theme here. I used various types of tools here, such as the blending of the piranha mouths on the burgers, and the shadow edge on the background. The letter fonts I got them from an online source to give me the poster feel to the project.

I recycled some of my characters into this work, to place another of my ideas out there. Some of the tools I managed to incorporate here was for the first time a filter on the letters from a blending mode called overlay.

I found this photographer in deviant art who is pretty good. While browsing through his work I found this image, in which he states:

"as u all know i really hate to manipulate pictures!!!
but there was the moment...called boredom some minutes ago...i went through my photocollection and found this one i took a long time ago!!!"

This being his second experiment with photo manipulation, blew my mind away. I love the way the spray can just grabs exactly the cloud.

As a slang....Mad props to LukeGoesDeviantArt.

Had to put it, sorry. This is a picture of my son that was taken one sunny afternoon in Ashland, OR. Not only do the lines imply his poor enclosure to the world, but also the little shirt give the impression once again.

Letter Assignment

This one is my second attempt at the letter assignment, which I hope is not to out of the theme. I used the letter O in the Cochin font and used the tool "create warp text" to give it the shape it has. As you can see I use layer arrangement to get the center piece to always stay on top, plus I made it the most eye catching one, by using light color tones on the others, as well as opacity levels.

I used the letter L in this assignment and manipulated the angle of it to create the subliminal O and the LOL pattern you can surely see. The big pieces combine the same idea, but just on a more condensed way.

Oh yes, the Bauhaus, with it's famous art, architecture, and designs of many well known items...I learned about the designs of Bauhaus in an art class, and have since fallen for them. The poster above is one promoting the Bauhaus school and without the use of computers, we can see the manipulation of the image for the poster, which depicts one of the buildings with their distinctive design.

Well this product (or wanna be) was my creation for a video production project. I used the letter inverse technique that Miles showed for the letter assignment and came up with my logo as you see it. The promotional video will come soon...

Collage

So this are my tries at making collages:
I had fun with this one, making the image of Godzilla become blurry as if two of them are playing on the field came as I discovered the motion blur tool. I used a 2nd layer of the same godzilla and made it the blur it is by almost maximizing the motion blur tool. It is visible too, the cheer going on in the side line. Also, not to forget the defensive and offensive line.
This one was in reality my first try, as you can see, it is a compilation of monsters getting ready to eat....hungry monsters = angry monsters + one goofy looking one. The idea of this collage is them being stranded in the middle of nowhere and the food taking forever to arrive.

This image has been one of my favorite wallpapers for quite a while. It's a well representation of what a collage is. Just by having a regular picture add other effects like the rainbow and the sparkles, it makes a whole other experience of seeing this image.

Wk 1 - Personal

Well this picture was from one snow boarding trip I took with the MCC from PCC RC. I remember that day pretty well because I ended up quite in pain. I liked this picture from the many that were taken that weekend. I used a few PS tools and a few blurs and sketch options to get the image like this. What I love about the outcome of the picture is that, it seems as if the trees in the background seem as a painting, yet my figure has some very distinguishing features that shows my self identity to everyone.
